I think the answer to your question requires knowing if you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced player. Certainly, without any doubt, if you are a beginner or an intermediate this course is wonderful and helpful. If you are advanced and do not know the theory behind the notes/chords you are playing it is also helpful. One thing the course definitely does is make you think about the theory and how that relates to playing. Knowing the theory, I think, makes it easier to play because you will know why you are on a particular fret or combination of notes.
